I'm lost on the hook-ups for BPM Studio

I have two sound cards and an external mixer. I have the output on sound card #1 going to my speakers. I have the other output on soundcard #1 going to the phono/aux #1 on the mixer. I have the output on soundcard #2 going to phono/aux #2 on the mixer. And I have the headphones plugged into the mixer. Everything seems to work fine except I can't record. When I record I just get a blank song. Am I missing a hook up or what did I do wrong?

| I tried PCDJ and it stops me and says I can't record because media is running. If anyone has an external mixer hook up using BPM Studio or PCDJ. Please post I need help badly, getting discouraged and frustrated. |
