Blake Sutherland - Untitled - new and much better!

Hey guys,

Just finished this one up, and for anyone that listened to the last tune I posted, I think I have to say this is about one hundred times better. I'm kind of excited about this one, so I'd like to know what you all think!

Blake Sutherland - untitled

Any suggestions for a title are more than welcome.
Thanks for taking the time.

Nice build up at the start, and the beat is really cool around 3:15 when it all comes in.

The overall sound is a little dry, could use some more delay etc. Maybe some background pads? 2:45 is an example of where some more filtering / fx could come in handy.

The bass end is great, since the rhythm is good and it really pumps the tune along. However I think you need to layer them with some higher frequency sounds, as they are the kick + bass sound too dull ( i.e. low frequency only )

Some of the beats are really rocking, they really made me move.
Nice offbeat chords too that came in around 1:30 and helped the groove of the track.

Overall I really enjoyed it!

that bassline kills me! :D
i prefer it when it stays dark though, could have done without the melodic part hehe
it does sound kinda dru like someone pointed out, and i really don't like that kick.

10/10 for that bassline though

Thanks for the comments guys :) Glad the bass is workin for you!

Haak, I've had a few complaints about the kick - so maybe I'll change it a bit :) The track originally didn't get so trancey in the middle, but I just thought it was too boring without it.
