Actually, I want to correct you on that opinion. His best track ever produced was and is: For An Angel (ewerk mix). This single track got me and many ppl influenced on the global trance scene.

I dunno.. I liked PvD's older stuff... For An Angel is tops in my books.. As well his first vinyl release as 'Visions Of Shiva' in 1992 is such a sweet tune...
In my opinion For An Angel was the pinnacle of his producing days... since then I haven't been drooling for his tracks..
'We Are Alive' is too poppish sounding.. |

"My World" is one of my favorite PvD oldies. For An Angel is of course good too. I've heard some people say that his newest album sucked. I think it's a good album although it's maybe a bit more commercial. In my opinion he has mixed different types of electronic music into that album with a talent which PvD has!
If you look to back to his productions all the way to Visions Of Shiva you can really see how he has made his way to the top of the best producers. "We Are Alive" is poppy but I've found it interesting to hear that kind of production from him too. It doesn't lower my respect to him in any way :)
Btw Swamper. Do you have these tracks from his very first release; Visions Of Shiva - Perfect Night & Perfect Morning?
Haven't seen them on Napster or anywhere. Maybe you could post them sometime if you post some oldies :) I think I'm not the only one who would like to have them.

yeah, his new album is definitely way too commercialized compared to his previous works. however, many of his recent trax still show the quality of his production/dj skills. im still hooked on "tell me why (vandit mix)". my most fav of pvd releases is probably his 92-98 remixes compilation. at any cost, id pay again to witness another pvd live gig. he has the ability to give me that spine-tingling, goose bumps sensation. im in awe..
