This is the first thing I've done by myself for a while. I have been working with another person for the last year and wanted to do something that was just me. So here it is, I don't even know if it's really done but It's close if not.

bassline is ok for me bass is cool also.
few extra fx in the beginning wouldn't hurt.
i like the synth in the intro nice and simple my style ;)
pads are cool, melody sounds fine for me.
quite like this prog-trancy tune, though i recommand still adding a few more layers here and there.
can't comment on the mixing its 96, but i do feel the kick lacks a bit in the mix. |

First off thanx alot for the comments I'm so happy to get to hear what people think about it.
I will definately add some more FX to the intro, I agree it could use a bit more.
I was just trying to go for something nice to move to as far as the bassline. I'm glad you like the sound though, it took a while for me to get that sounding good.
I'm kinda going for a simplistic style, it seems like I always put too much into my tracks before and they would just be a big mess. I bet I could find some room for a couple more layers in there.
The kick I'm not sure about, I thought it sounded pretty good, but I'll A/B it some more.

ya i love that style
tunes like stargaze-souviner of ultra or sander K- My lexicon..
i forget to say when pad chords change with the lead, the lead sounds even nicer.
btw what do you use to make your tracks? |

I love my lexicon as well : )
I use Reason as my main Sequencer, but I also use Cubase armed with the Novation Bass-Station and V-Station. I make alot of multi samples and plug them into the samplers in reason.
I was pretty happy with the melody in this track, it seemed pretty unique. When I was working with my friend he almost always made all the melodies and I did the sound design, drums, and layout of the songs.
I'll keep posting more of my solo stuff here as I make it. It's heading in this direction everytime I make something on my own ;) |

Sounds like you have alot of cool ideas here, they need to be organized better in the arrangement.
Great beat- not a fan of the panned synths. I've been listening to alot of TA productions, and this is another example. I'm impressed by how different people around here are sounding!
I'm not a fan of the chord phrase you go into on the chorus--I'd actually prefer a complete progressive style out of this track where there were no chord changes, apart from maybe in the break. --- just an idea, and an opinion :) |

Thanx I'm glad you like the beat, thats been what I have worked on the majority of the last year, doing colabs, just something I'm decent at.
I'm also liking the original stuff around here. If everybody keeps making stuff sound the same then music gets old and people lose interest in it. I'm all for originality : )
Yeah was originally going for just a straight progressive track, no chord changes, but this just seemed right. My stuff never ends up where I planned from the begining. I just do stuff and if it sounds good I keep it. Maybe a remix version could do that, thanx for the idea and the comments. :)
