Recording software for OS X

Was wondering if there was a program out there for OS X available for a trial download that'll record my mixes into a line in...

| I am running OS 10.2 and use Roxio Spin Doctor. It does the trick and is easy to use but i'm sure there has to be burlier software out there. |

I use Audio Hijack Pro - very good for different things, such as recording streams etc. :D
I always record into AIFF as this never gives any skips. You can find it here: Audio Hijack Pro 2.0 |

| i haven't used audacity for mac, but i have used it for windows and linux and it works really well, and according to a mac guy i know he likes it too for his mac. |
