My vestax pdx-2000's are broken
one will not spin when I press start but it will power on.
the other sill start and spin and all that but it sounds really really quiet and I checked 4 different RCA cables and 3 different mixers.
anyone know whats up? or what to do to get them fixed? |

Well make sure that the one that is really quiet is not being plugged into the line-in of the mixer, but the phono in (or if there is only one input, that the phono switch is on) |

ring vestax
check here for your nearest distributor http://www.vestax.com/dist_list/ :)
but yeah, the quiet one sounds like you are putting an analogue signal through a digital input.
the other one sounds like a fault that will require the deck being opened up.
are they under warranty? |

Ohh man...not to make matters worse, but I was actually considering buy this b 4 I bought my Tech m3d's. I guess you gotta go with the standard. Plus, the Vestax looked poorly made..very plastic-ey :) |

That's really weird. How did they die? Other than people complaining about the platter and plastic, i never heard of major problems w/ vestax decks. |
