I'd love to know if everyone that has hypothyroidism is avoid high GI carbs except around exercise time, and omitting all saturated fat from their diet.
i know it's a problem...i envy no one with it. i just wonder, that's all. |

Interesting question. I don't know the answer since I've never talked in detail with someone who's had hypothyroidism.
However, most are treated with T3 (rather than T4 due to the fact that people with hypothyroidism have trouble converting T4 into T3) supplementation.
Often T3 supplementation doesn't work very well either since people with hypothyroidism often have the T3 receptor sites not functioning 100%. |

Thank you, I'm glad someone said it! Of course there are medical conditions such as hypothydoidism, but eating to the point of 600+ pounds is their own fault (although a vicious cycle of hating themselves and then eating may not help either). I'm not prejudice towards "fat" people at all, but seeing people 400+ pounds it's easy to label these people as walking heartattacks, and not be too far off in your assumption. |

I was born without a thyroid at all. My levels go up and down all the time, and i vary from hyper and hypo thyroidism on a monthly basis. I can gain 20 lbs in about 2 weeks. Of course with a readjustment of my meds, I can lose about the same amount in half the amount of time. Even if she had that condition, doctors would work with her to keep her on a healthy diet that would curb that kind of weight gain.
I completely agree with Tordan. That kind of behaviour is disgusting.
On a side note, i wonder if she was wearing booty shorts and a tiny tank top??? wouldnt that look sexy!!! |

Just because she is the weight that she is - for whatever reason - doesn't give anyone the right to disrespect her like that. |

I don't think people really cared much about how much she weighed, they just used that against her because, evidently, blocking the bathroom entrance pissed them off!! |
