going back a few years
Up&down was a HUGE track at the time, and it was played by lots of top jocks too. It wasnt actualyl regarded as cheese at the time.
But that was back in 97/98 when the scene was totally different. /nostalgia mode
After that it was all downhill.
Agreed tho- kiss(airscape mix) a.k.a- friday nite posse is still a top tune |

| I dunno why people bash the Vengaboys. Their first CD had radio worthy, happy songs for teenyboppers as well as some quality trance songs. I listened to their CD and was quite surprised at how good it was. Then I heard their second CD and vomited so much that I havn't listened to the first one since. |

| I liked their first CD, the last songs... the ones without the vocals (but I liked too some of their vocals). But their second one was like :nervous: :nervous: :eek: :eek: :mad: :mad: |

Agreed, that one was pretty good. Another decent one is their remix of Mark van Dale with Enrico - Power Woman. |

I have a double LP of this, but I am not sure if it is labeled right. I like the one Tiesto used on live @ Energy 2000.
Needless to say there is no vocal. Their vocals are just too much. |

actually I recalled a vengaboys track that liked back in the day & I still like:
check out "48 hours" beautiful piano driven tune.. I dont think the melody is 100% original but it works for me anyway :) |

Totally agree, that remix of power woman is awesome.
Im suprised that many people here think Vengaboys = radio happy house for the late 90's...
Obviously you are just biased because the only track you ever heard by them is used in Six Flags commercials now. You probobly dont realize that they have had 3-4 incredible trancers, including a remix of Brooklyn Bounce - Contact that is an absolutely beautiful, melodic trance giant. For those of you that just reply that the Vengaboys = gay, you need to dig a little harder through the record crates before you smear your opinion on a forum thread started by someone looking for positive replies. |
