Im not sure if anybody knows, or cares, but as of the end of the month, Homestead is no longer a free service and we lose everything we have there..so whats left in the free remote linking services?
Im gonna set up my @home account, so I wont need it, just for everyone else to know |

| Well.I got my @home account, so I dont need anything, but for the rest of you, who maybe gave a fake e-mail to homestead after brinkster died..I thought U might wanna know that u lose your page @ end of the month unless you pay up |

| dammit! i use homesteadf, im gonna lose all my pictures :sadgreen: , that sux! i gave my real email but i dont want to pay for that, its not worth it. guess im gonna have to find a new one. grrrrr, thanks for the tip tho j-spot :) , i'll start transfering my files. |

doesn't the @home ftp have a very small amount of bandwidth limit per month? |

Yes, but chances of exceeding it are low if you use it for just sig/pic hosting. (unless you post pr0n!! :))
The limit is 300 megs per month. A 15 kb sig theoretically allows up to 20,000 unique views per month of your sig... most threads dont get viewed more than a few dozen to a hundred times.. not to mention your sig gets cached by most users, resulting in less requests to your sig host.
Sugarbean, for example, is a moderate poster around here... her sig is on @home's webserver has yet to break the limit... hasnt even gotten past 300 megs after 6 months of solely using it for sig/pic hosting. her "Girls Body Parts 2" thread got approx 5000 requests to her sig, and barely used more than 150 megs of bandwidth this month.
well that's a mouthful... but what im saying is: The monthly bandwidth for @home webspace is more than adequit for hosting pics/sigs |

i was doin a search since MY homestead DID cut me off.. cause of maximum bandwith exceeded :p
