thats because those are the Mississippi U grads that call themselves meteorologists. They under go training that most freshman undergrads take. No math, no physics, nothing hard. They are the poor saps you see on TV.
Think of it this way. Think of a dental hygenist being the Miss-U grad, and a board certified denist being us (ie BS meteorology) Yea they know alot about it, but when it comes down to the science of it all or the means to understand it....
They dont know . One U-miss "grad" tried convincing me that a gust front was created by a section of a cloud essentially falling. That chuck of cloud mass displaces the air, thus causing strong winds. That is the mistake with what you see on TV. The uneducated trying to pass themselves as the knowledgable, and passing along incorrect information. |
