It is extremely hard for me to define my style. I love strong basslines and beats...melody is also important though. most of the time, when there are female vocals, I like them to be synthesized and distorted. I like progressive, prog house, funky house, nu school breaks (James Lavelle GU023...amazing). I also love hip hop and new rock alternative. I’m a lover of all genres, except country. Country music makes me violent.
I like PMT, Way Out West, Lieb, Sasha, James Lavelle, and of course Oakey:)
some examples of songs that are "me"...
Rochus "High Noon" Smart Systems remix
Way Out West "Intensify" PMT remix
James Holding "Horizon" WOW remix
Oliver Lieb's remix of "Lost Vagueness" ...Subsonik is good too filterheadz remix
oldies, but my favs;)
also, i love all this new stuff coming out that oakey plays...the 80's european rock songs that get remixed, like lexicon avenue remixes of depech mode songs...what genre does that fall under? i love stuff like that:)
edit* and i can't forget Layo & Buswacka:) |

They're usually tech house / prog house. I know Oakey was caning Depeche Mode - Only When I Lose Myself (Lexicon Avenue Remix) for a while, which is definitely progressive house. |
