Agreed, Ferry Corsten "King of Fluff" will be a massive party! He's the one little guy I've been wanting to see for awhile after checking off Marco V. For me, I don't need to hear "Gouryella" this time around. Maybe for a finish but I like to hear some new cuts!

I wouldn't get too excited about Tall Paul, he was just there and it wasn't anything special. I watched him basically flirt with the cute blonde next to him, pour down roughly 10 Corona's, rest his headphones motionless on the turntables as he put in CD after CD of generic cuts. I think he forgot that people were noticing and just slipped in his mix he made the night before for about a half hour as well.

Bad Boy Bill again? I'm not into his first appearance of the summer this weekend so why the repeat?

Seen Felix Da Housecat spin 3 times including at Lotus just about 6 weeks ago and also at a Hugo Boss party a couple of weeks ago on a rooftop. He played pretty much the same set both nights but I'm not complaining because it was tight both times.

Now the good stuff is Saeed and Palash at Crobar August 20th. I can tell this forum is mostly honkers for trance (which I love as well) but I like my dark, dirty tribal house sometimes too. It will be their last appearance in NYC as they're breaking up. This should get more notice!!

I'm also ready to be put to sleep by John Digweed August 27th. Nice guy though and really very technically skilled. Just not my style...too chugging.

clubs are best once all the none hardcore "clubbers" leave! i like to be surrounded with people that actually know who the DJ is and ENJOY the musik! Avalon is pretty small...when big DJs come into town a good venue size wise is exit.

I agree, well I guess because my main reason for going to any club, is the music. I follow the scene, and the scene is music. I like to around an atmosphere of people then enjoy the music, are feeling the set, and can really make the most of the music, however I can't stand being in a club with a bunch of wankers not even feeling the music, just lookin for a straight trip on the X-coaster and a girl to take home for the night. And from my previous experience with Avalon, I see less of the former and more of the latter.

Exit used to be good musik wise and crowd, unfortunately things changed...:( roxy is not very big, but there's more room to dance there than at avalon. avalons main floor gets so packed, there's no room to dance, my friend and i end up goin to the 2nd level to dance until the floor empties out a bit. i am in florida right now, so i haven't been able to make it to ikon, i hope it does well. such a great space, that place needs to be packed! i miss the old days :(
