| Looking for all the things a beginner DJ needs besides headphones. Could you guys point me in the right direction as what to buy? Looking for two vinyl or cdj decks and a mixer. Thanks! |

2 technics 1200's you could get stanton or numark tt's if you dont have that much cash.
For a mixer, I recommend something along the lines of a Vestax PCV 275, its a good first mixer for mixing trance and it's not too expensive, reletively speaking. You could get away with a cheaper mixer though.
You will also need needles because the tt's dont come with them. Your standard pair is the Stanton 500II (about $40-50 each.
Make sure you have nice loud speakers with good bass and a sh*tload of records too! |

| As you can see, to really get into DJing, there's no cheap way about it |

i never said money was an issue. i believe that if someone loves something enough there is no limit to the expenditure of their cash flow. thanks for the information. and by the way (im in the states), where is the best place to get new vinyls? |

I have 2 favorites for this. eBay and dancerecords.com
Oh yea, perfectbeat.com has some harder to find records a lot of times and planetxusa.com has a great selection, but they sell out pretty quick of everything. |

Try topdjgear.com
By the way, I envy to all you american & canadian, european guys.
One technics deck costs around 450$ in USA. I bought mine here in Slovakia for 690$ (converted from Slovakian currency).
The average monthly salary here is around 420$.
So if you think about it, you can have 5-7 decks from 1 monthly salary, I need to save 2 my salaries to buy one deck
:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :( |
