i was browsing production forum and suddenly a bunch of people started jumping on a newbie's ass cause he was asking for something that was on a sticky. i reckon it is somewhat annoying to see people asking always for the same thing but there's no need to be a jackass all the time. everyone seems to forget that newbies often:
- are.. new? they don't know how things work on here
- have probably been browsing for just a couple minutes and haven't read the entire forum to know what threads exist and what has been discussed recently
- last and most importantly, many people from foreign countries are often awful at english. so if you tell them to look to a "sticky" that could be the same thing if you went to korea and someone told you to "knowiwenchiu" (made up word :p )
and this is not only related to newbies, the general attitude around here. someone dissed a track you like? post 50 rolleyes smileys and start a huge flame war. someone is acting stupid in the COR or acting too "smart" for you? :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: ;)
nobody's perfect. some people can be incredibly annoying and hard not to start a discussion with. other times it's the "tension" of seeing 100 annoying posts that you drop it all over a single guy. and dropping a little bit of well put sarcasm here and there can be kewl. all of this applies not to only to TA but to most message boards and almost most online communities. but i mean, chill the out. |
