Do i have the new Virus?

Ok.....there is a new virus spreadening all over the world and its called "Nimda".......It uses Outlook express to deliver itself.....
A couple of days ago i noticed that i had 2 outlook express docs on my Desktop.......i didnt klick them...now outlook express starts everytime i start windows...and the files are everywhere...in my mixmeister map and so on........
I read the info about the virus and they say that its used to crash systems....i havent crashed yet......And i dont use outlook express so i havent opened any mail there either...but they also said that some webpages may be infected.....so if you visit them you get infected..... I already planned to format my comp in 2 weeks when i get my new 40 gb hardrive....so i could move the mp3s and stuff there.....but now im afraid of loosing all my trancemusic just because of this....anyone know if i have the virus? |

| I got an email from freeserve about this, the recomend just keeping your visur checker upto date, and run it, it should b picked up, otherwise there are some good online virus checkers, or get some free trials, if u just need it for this |

I´ve had the virus too, but since I`m running Win2k with Service Pack 2 it wasn`t active.:D Just the admin.dll was found.
I`ll attach a fix for the virus here. You have to unpack the cleaner in one folder and run it from dos promt. Worked for me!

I deleted thema ll today....i had 1778 of them :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

i was watching all the files get deleted, it was funny alot of them were named things like:
at&t mail
motorola
...national profitability...
microsoft program names
george w
etc
hmmmmmmmmmm

I told swamper to put it on the main screen and he did :)

No need for credit.;) Thanx a lot. Got the file from a friend of mine myself, so he should get the credit if anyone...:p
