Local Myths & Legends?

Hey.
So with punisher seeing something weird and me watching The Ring last night for some reason i was wondering if there were any local myths, legends or ghost storys in your area?
I live in Gloucestershire in the UK. In my area we have had many many sightings of Beasts that look like giant cats (panther size), huge paw prints and muttillated live stock.
We also have a headless horseman at the gates in a village by me...but i think everywhere has one of those.

Erm... in Brasília, we don't have that many stories, probably because of the city's young age (in fact, the only ones we do seem to come from films). I can remember of the "girl in white" who kills people when they're driving at night, the girl who jumps out of mirrors in the female's restroom... the only proper legend we've got here is some gossip saying that a hostess of a kids' show (Xuxa, in case anyone's heard of her) had had a pact with a demon, and there are many horror stories related to that (not true though, all she's done in the past was porn, hehe).

Talking about films, "The Ring" looks like a fairytale compared to the original "Ringu".

iv seen that on TV

some dutch reporters went to investigate it, they captured that thing in a tree , but it was dark and all you could see were the eyes reflection, which was very big.
