| man i use to do these type of events week in and week out... play anything u hear on the radio... and some classics like "Whoops there it is" hahaha i know its lame but u want to get them going thats what u gotta do.... :rolleyes: :whip: :whip: unless u wanna play for yourself rather than the crowd... |

GO OOOOOOOOONLY FOR THE HARD LIKE HARD HOUSE, OR HARD TRANCE, BUT !!!!!
THE BEST THING WILL BE FOR YOU TO SPIN CLUB MUSIC.....

Wassup... I'm 16 so I'm in touch w/ the crowd you'll be getting the most of. Least to say... most people my age don't wanna hear that stupid commercial anymore. If I were to spin that at a party, people would be like.. man this is old. If you really wanna get a teen club moving, even tho you northerners hate it, spin some Funky Breaks. The most common complaint I hear from young people about eletronic music is that it is repetitive, therefore a trance track is going to win them over. Your average hiphop listener doesn't know/respect the music the same way. They wanna dance, not get all into the music. Breaks is basically your electronic half-way between rave/booty. You might wanna give it a try, because really the only keeping teens dancing here, is breaks, and some hard house. Everything else is fairly criticized.

I usually go to various underage dance parties here in Perth, Australia... around 500-1000 ppl for functions. House, Club, dance, techno, R'nB and some trance is played.
What about you guys is USA, UK, Ireland, Holland, Germany, etc. for underage parties?? Im quite interested.. :) |

This is WHAT I DO for a living...in case you didnt already read that. I agree with everyone(except zombie nation doesnt go over well anymore here) but all the commercial stuff is gonna make them move, but unless they know it in advance, u r gonna hafta play hip hop/rap and some *pop* gasp, teen dance parties are for every one, those 14 year old girls who like BSB too. NOt just the clubber wannabes who r too young.
I mean, when u go to a club, u know what they r gonna play, and get to choose the club accordingly, but with this, u get everyone who has nowhere else to go. Itll be just like a high school dance, only with better lights. |

| yeh j_spot is right. u guys are all wrong with Zombie nation. even paffendorf is getting a bit old. They like harcore hardhouse kinda stuff. Scooter always gets it moving and also get them into some of the stuff Judge Jules plays. Im not talkin bout like qlimax sets etc, moreso that hardcore party-like ones.
