My dog will not stop sh*tting in the house!!!!!

Okay. So me and my fiancee have this Yorkie that is a year old. We've had him since he was a puppy. He's an indoor dog. When we both work during the day we leave him usually in a crate. My fiancee comes home during lunch and takes him out to go to the bathroom and stuff. Sometimes we leave him in the bathroom.

The problem is he s everywhere and smears it all over the floor when we're gone for an extended period. SMEARS IT! I guess he's pissed cause we left him.

Also, he NEVER s outside. We take him out aaaaallllll the time. I have never once seen him outdoors. Never. He'll pee a little bit. But he still pees inside some too.

Cleaning up his is getting tiresome and a huge pain in the ass. Our guest bathroom smells like .

WHAT THE HELL DO I DO ABOUT THIS??? We've tried everything. Does anyone know a good way to housetrain a 1 yr old dog? When we first had him we would leave him behind a gate in our kitchen at our old place with some newspaper all over the floor. He'd still manage to make a mess of it.

I get up at 5:30 am for work. I take him out, but he ONLY PEES. Then I bring him in cause I gotta get ready and he goes and finds a place in the corner to . He s so much!!! He's so little! He's 7-8 pounds!

Anyone have experience housetraining a dog? We live in a condo and have no yard. HELP!

get rid of it.

rub his nose in it. :wtf:

seriously, do something the dog hates when you see the ...then take him and the outside....then strat to leave him outside for longer periods of time.

its kinda hard since you don't really get to scold em as soon as he s, but try to connect the two in its head. ones he figures out bad things happen when me goes poopie on da floor, he will try to avoid it.

It is also important to give him something he loves after he s outside. treats..lovin....whatever.

then he might get it through his head.

your other option is the electrical diaper. :wtf: those are fun.

if it's already an year old it might be extremley hard to housetrain your dog at this point.

It is definitely going to be a challenge training the dog now, as opposed to earlier. I definitely agree that you must discipline the dog when he does go in the house. I punish my dog by closing him in the bathroom for a few minutes. Once you can show the dog that it is inacceptable he should do it less. And Boomer is right about positive reinforcement as well. When the dog does something right, he/she should get a treat or whatever it is the dog likes. Make sure you do point out the area he dukes on before disciplining the dog. You have a little dog, which makes this less functionable, but I smack my dog lightly on the nose or head when he s up. Not hard enough to hurt the dog, but enough to show your authority. Good Luck!

or...you could always beat the out of it with a bat!!

J/F, but seriously that's you'd want to do if you had a huge puppy always ripping your house apart and ting in it.

hahaha that sucks. it sounds like it's pissed. you have to have the time to train it. when you walk it, and he goes outside, you have to reward him and say, "GOOD BOY!!! DID YOU GO POOPIE OUTSIDE?!!? URSUCHAGOOBUOOOYYYY... DADDY'S GONNA GIVE YOU A TWEAT NOW"!!:stongue:
