Loveparade Concerns

| According to my Sister who lives in SF, there are alot of concerns about loveparade. Also, it seems like its not very well advertised. Not many people seem to know about loveparade, and im becoming very skeptical about the quality of the lineup and the event itself. |

It's not going to be "advertised" until we get close to the event. I would say maybe like after Labor Day Weekend. ACTUALLY, I bet Labor Day weekend is when promotion for it will start.
There are some heavyweights (promoters/organizers) working on stuff for Love Parade...don't worry.
Just don't expect a million top DJs to play. This is the first LoveParade SF -- everyone has to convince the top DJs that it's worth playing at a non-profit event like this...

| I was talking with someone the other night who is promoting for LP. The promoting is going to begin soon, but don't expect thtis event to be anywhere near as big as any of the others so far. This is sorta a trial run for LPSF, and if all goes well, SF will put its on unique spin on LP and hopefully this is something that can grow and get bigger year by year. If you read about the history of Berlin LP, it's something that started small and then just snowballed over the years. In order for the SF LP to succeed it reflect SF and the vibe here, as well as be in touch with issues that matter to San Franciscans (just like in Berlin). (There was a great article in last years Guardian, and I tend to agree with much of what was written.) Luckily, SFLP already gets a boost based on the notariety of LP Berlin and other LPs. That being said, you should come if you want to make a statement through dance music, regardless of who is going to perform and how big it is to make SFLP a reality (otherwise, no one would come, right?) |

There is a bunch of people from Miami who are thinking of going we were actually 100% going until I started to see no promotion and no line up.
Will it be like a weekend with alot of other events?
And also I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the area. I want a room that would be along the parade route, maybe with a balcony if possible.... Anyone know the exact route
I am not familiar with san fran at all.... I know LP has alot of potential , you guys think is worth ot to come from Miami? |
