I'm sick of them calling every nation that walks past poor and unfortunate. I'm sick of them saying the Americans have an attitude... No SHERLOKC, THEY ING KICK THE OUT OF EVERYONE. THAT'S WHY. JUST ADMIT WE SUCK COMPARED TO THEM AT SPORT!
They kept trying to make SYdney look better "Oh, in Sydney we had .70 square metres of room per Athlete.... But Athens could only manage .65 square metres"

yeah...
WEll, I'm a little cooler now. But I think Aussies have an Inferiority complex. Did anyone else notice how hard the commentators tried to compare the ceremony to Sydney. And always keep trying to make Sydney come out better?
ANd a lot of the streams from overseas channels suggest a lot of peopel thought playing that sort of music was "contraversial" |

1.) i think most of us will admit that Athens had much better opening ceremony.
2.) not inferiority - we just hate americans
3.) who really takes what commentators say on board?

I have to say i think that the fireworks in syd was better but as for the actual stadium entertainment (from my rather fried memory of the syd games) was better in athens.
Either way they were both ing good!! Though i honestly think China will be better in 4 years time (theyve got a more money they can throw at it!!)
And on a side note: I'd like to brush up on some of those cuban volleyballers!!! ;) |
