For one, they make a lot of noise. And its also considered 'landscape pollution'.

Are you anti-earth, dumb, or both?

In the case of hybrid cars electricity is generated every time you use your brakes to slow down.

For a full electric car, at a power plant using what ever fuel that is convenient. The advantages are too numerous to list. One that comes to mind is you don't waste fossil fuel sitting at a traffic light or in traffic jam.

What kind of windmills do they use in the US? I don't think windmills are creepy...

Yeah those are the ones, but when I see them all together for miles and miles on windmill farms they creep me out. I dont know. I live in Cleveland and the only time I see them is when Im out in the plains storm chasing. Maybe theyre just weird looking to me. :p

If you were used to see them they look less creepy. C'mon, don't you see they are cute? :gsmile:

I can't believe nobody has mentioned hydrogen power yet.

Having exhaust entirely comprised of water is a major advantage, but the explosive nature of hydrogen is the biggest hurdle.

Don't worry you're not the first to fear windmills...

I'm pretty sure there is a generator in there charging the batteries wheveer the motor is running, then when there is a full enough charge the motor shuts off and it runs off of battery power. Also at stop lights or whenever you are stopped the motor turns off and runs off of battery power.

Real freakiin complicated system.

What about Solar powered vehicles?

Slow but energy efficient and needs time to charge in the day.

Hmmmm, i wonder if we could ever use the gravitaional force of earth as energy?
