Clubs that play Trance in San Francisco

Seeing that I'll be moving near San Francisco area soon, can anyone tell me about Trance scene in there?
1) In particular are there clubs that play Trance on a more or less regular basis?
2) What kind of crowd attends these clubs ?
3) How late are the clubs open ?

Ten15 has trance in at least one of its rooms every Friday and Saturday nights, usually in the basement. The basement trance is usually straight up REAL hard and REAL fast.
The crowd: When it comes to the basement, it's mainly asians (not trying to be rude, it's jsut a fact). If I'm at Ten15, I usually hang a bit down there. The DJs are cool peeps.
If a trance DJ is headlining in the main room and it's a big DJ, it's a very mixed crowd.
Ten15 stays open until at least 4am on Fridays typically, and later than that Saturday nights. |

Hi Durafei,
DaveT is right.
They have some great trance parties at 1015 and often bring in some of the best DJ's in the world. You can visit their website at 1015.com. If you're into Psy-trance you should also check out 550 Barnaveld (Space550.com). Look for any parties by Thump.
Personally, I'd like to see more trance music clubs opening in the SF Bay Area. We have no problem finding a good house music clubs any day of the week, but we are lacking big time in trance clubs IMHO.

1. Spundae is the promoter who brought in just about all the major trance DJs to Ten15 (except for PvD, which Release brought in)....and Spundae is no longer with Ten15.
Which is why Spundae has been throwing their parties elsewhere, mainly at the Mezzanine (which I love!). Sasha @ Mezzanine. Zabiela @ Mezzanine, M.I.K.E. is playing at the Mezz on the 27th. Then Digweed on Sept 3rd. Then Gabriel & Dresden, JunkieXL, and Christopher Lawrence on Sept 5th. Then on Sept 17th, it's AvB & Markus Schulz @ Ruby Skye (Mezz was already booked :-p) -- Damn, that's an incredible month now that I think about it :-p.
2. Thump is no longer a regular promoter with Space 550. They do hold special events though.
3. A trance music club would fail in no time. Just not a huge enough 21+ crowd who would go regularly. |

| Did someone say C. Lawrence. My fav dj??!! yeah, he definately gonna be in the house for that spundae event!! Check out 1015 on august 20th also. If you like Christopher lawrence type of music without the cheese, then the basement on the august 20th will be happening that particular night. :) hey Dave. Sup buddy!!?? |
