this is my first post - hi. i've read a lot of posts and some of you guys really know your ... i'm really glad that i found this forum because i don't know anyone producing trance/progressive house where i live.
i'm using 100% software and my makeshift studio consists of:
-cubase sx2
-ni kontakt
-a couple of sample cd's
-atmosphere
-ultrafunk fx
(all bought and paid for BTW)
-digi002r (can't stand protools le - expensive mistake, but decent interface so i use it)
-evolution mk249c midi keys
-mackie hr824's
-sony mdrv700 cans
-win xp
-dual 2.6 xeon's
-1024mb ram
-4 WD drives
i'd like to eventually get a couple of pieces of hardware, but until i'm comfortable with what i've got i'll just keep learning. actually, i kinda suck right now, but motivated and working hard.

software is easier and faster to use than hardware, see if you can find what you want there first, thats my advice for now ;). |
