where to go from here?

| Hello ta's. So I'm kinda new to this whole trance addict thing. I just got back from Canada (WEMF) - just decided to go and have fun, even if it was by myself. Anyhoo, I had a blast but now that I'm back in Madison, I'm wondering more about the regional scene. I know there's alot going on in Chicago but what about Milwaukee (let me guess, why bother going to Milwaukee when you can go to Chicago...). But seriously - are there at least some good clubs to go out dancing in? |

| Milwaukee's kind of a bust (or so I hear) but wait until UWM gets on, he's in Madison right now and knows all 'bout it. :) |

well, to offer the original poster some actual advice (you dang hijarkers :p)... here are a few sites you can check out regarding the "scene" in Milwaukee:

both of those sites have calendars of events, forums, picture galleries, and plenty of info on all the different clubs in Milwaukee. there are also links to all the different club websites. now, because this is Milwaukee, no one really plays much trance music (its mostly house and hip-hop, and top-40 at a lot of the more "trendy" clubs), and we don't get a lot of big-name DJs around here either.
if you like house/techno/breaks/hip-hop and are just looking to go out and have a good time dancing, then you might have some fun in Milwaukee. if you're looking to hear a 4-hour set from your favorite trance DJ, you better get in your car and start driving down 94.
my two favorite clubs are Mantra and Three (you can read more info on those 2 places in the Club Milwaukee Club Guide). there's been a lot of new clubs/lounges going up all around Milwaukee, but i usually just save my time and energy for going out in Chicago instead. Milwaukee has a very clique-ey crowd, where everyone hangs out in their own big group, and it's kind of hard to talk to people. i really hate that, because whenever i go to Chicago i always meet lots of cool new people.
the best thing about Milwaukee clubs is being able to get drunk cheap and be 5 min from my apartment, heh.
Milwaukee can be loads of fun, you just have to hit the right spots on the right nights and party with the right people. of course nothing in Milwaukee even compares to superclubs like Vision in Chicago, but it's still possible to go out and have a great time.
