anyone know of any good groups or organizations that offer volunteer jobs in third world countries (south america to be more precise)?

if so have u ever done any volunteer work overseas?

ok even better question..anyone interested in doing volunteer work in south america? its a lil pricey but i want to go for the experience. Ive been exposed to western civilization for too long and need a change..i want to live eat sleep and work with the poor and needy for a bit.

Take note to check your insurance policies - many won't cover you in 3rd world countries.

South America you say, Hmmm. Lemme see now, i do recall reading a classified somewhere regarding a few Columbians who were looking for hard workers to plant,harvest,package and sell stuff.

Not sure if they're needy or poor, but it's sure to be a departure from anything you've done in the western world. Come to think of it, you might even have fun doing it. ;)
