friggin pathetic if you ask me.

a global event like this and we only will cover the major sports and whatever canada is bound to do well in.

i'm sure that the families and supporters of those Canadian athletes would like to see them compete..

i'm guessing it's no different in any other country either, i doubt we'd see much Canadian athlete coverage if we lived in Athens or anywhere else outside Canada..

given the fact that there are 202 countries and events taking place simutaneously it's gotta be pretty hard giving equal coverage to everything all within 15 days ..

Actually I agree with you and it really bothers me as well...and it's not only during the olympics but also during other events as well. It really is a shame we don't have a channel like EUROSPORT where they try and show everything with no specific interest from any side.

Pretty much any country that participates in many events is like this.

Eurosport ?? I used to get that channel when I lived in Israel. Most of the time they showed Tennis.. so much for diversity

Eurosport (like someone already said) is not like that ;)

hey i just watched the ceremony and i think tiesto was spinning during the marching and introduction of all the teams, i heard traffic while france and germany were walking into the stadium. damn shame the commentators were talking soo much crap that i couldnt hear the music that well.

that fact that Canada has SRC (Francaphone CBC) means that we get dual coverage of events that many other countries don't have the luxury of ..

trust me guys, it could be a lot worse!

That's really strange...I remember Europsort being really good...They were showing everything...I remember they were even showing NHL stuff just before I moved here. I also remember that horrible INDY crash that happened here in TO...except that back then I didn't even know it happened here...only when I moved here. In any case though I do remember them showing great coverage. :)
