The worst thing I'd say we did all summer was give up on Emerson. He could have filled that midfield gap better than Vieira, at a cheaper price and we could have been getting a player for the next 6-10 seasons.

First of all, Emerson is the same age as Viera! Plus Viera is much better than Emerson will ever be. Viera is worth the extra 13mil.

I do not understand the Owen deal especially now since no one will want Morientes, Ronaldo or Raul. Morientes is the most likely to leave but to who? Owens arrival must mean the departure of Ronaldo and probably Morientes at the next season. With Ronnie going to England or back to Italy.

Liverpool did get fcuked on this deal. Owen is one of the top 10 strikers in the world and if anyone thinks different they are foolish. Protest the board if your a Reds fan. Nunez who is this guy?

I know di Stefano was a great great player but every time Real Madrid present a player he looks more frail than the pope does. It is a disgrace to put this man who obviously is not in good health out in the public. Also he scares me:nervous:

Owen to Real makes me hate Real Madrid even more.:whip:

Aye I was expecting them to invest in defence but other than Samuel (who will certainly bolster the back) it's just been another 'galatico' summer for them.

I wonder how much Camacho had to do with this signing, if anything? Florentino Perez is a top class bellend, no doubt if Owen is he will blame it on Camacho and then sack him!

Totally agree their defence will be there flaw once again. And they have no depth(not talking about strikers).

Toon Army get ready only 1 more hour

I wish all the best to Owen to warm up the RM benches.

He is gonna be the best bench warmer the premier divsion ever had ... he is going to make all Manchester United fans firm beleivers that if we can up when we sign players like Eric Djemba Djemba they can do us one better ... congratulations liverpool the future seems a lil errr benched :stongue:

can't understand why real wanted to sign him. trying to fit 4 world class strikers on a team seems a bit silly, ok they got another good option for the front but won't that step in the way of team spirit?

as for nunez, i got no clue either.. but sometimes this kind of players become good signings, look at fabregas for arsenal

Baros! Better than Owen?!

I know which one I'd rather have at Newcastle, and it's certainly not Baros.
