the CD2 (Other Side) was amazing though :p

and about this album...
i also heard some of the tracks\samples and i feel its gonna be a dissapontment....
no way close to mastepieces of trance like
"Classical Mushroom" & "B.P.Empire" Albums.

but the good news is , that after this album they want to do something realy different - not trance! thats what i'm waiting for.

Ok here is a preview review from myself...I have heard 7 of the 10 tracks in their full length (both live in person, and the studio versions)...here's what you can expect, I'm gonna keep it short:

IM The Supervisor
"I'm the supervisor, can I get the taxi number..." are the vocals that start off the track, which then slams into a hard bassline. Good effects and rythm. A good breakdown soon comes and in with the funky fun melody that gets you moving, almost disco like, but Infected style. Then high pitched vocals "dance with me, come on come on, dance with me..." and then a build up, and bam!!!! Great groove!!! Fun track :) GREAT LIVE!!!

Ratio Shmatio
Good effects, good bassline, good percussion, however the begining melodies distinctly reminds me of "Yanko Pitch" from CV. Finally when the good synths come in it builds up into a great teaser where nothin much happens after it except for some twisted effects...I love it! Finally it gets serious and pushes you into melodic mayhem! Very powerful and great melodies.

Meduzz
Strong bass and beats, good thick bassy groove to it. The first of this song is about good percussion, and they pull it off very well. The track slowly builds layering effects on top of more intricate percussive elements and a good strong looping melody the break down comes...a massively fun set of violins playfully going between something gothic and classical and then the electric guitars bust in playing the same melody...MINDBLOWING!!!

Cities Of The Future
It's a decent vocal track...nothing amazing. For those who have heard it you either love it or hate it. I like it, definetly don't hate it...but it's probably gonna be the weakest song on the album. No point in reviewing since you can hear this track in it's full length form.

Horus The Chorus
One of my favorites! Good beats and bass, fun effects too. The song pulls you along nicely and has good groove to it with it's short in and out melodies. A nice piano synth comes in that haunts you and tells you that this track has something coming for you. A nice little melodic build up teases you even more, so evil these Mushies are!!! Once again the build up leads to nothing and leaves you urning for more, great strategy. The intensity picks up and that piano comes back in and then a build up. Now comes the crazy melodic ending...great acid lines!!! PHENOMINAL TRACK!!!

Frog Machine
Once again, strong bassline and great effects. Very strange effects in the begining almost burp-like...funky and fun. The synths come in to add a fun full-on groove, it gets you moving for sure. This song is full of good effects, definetly loving them. The build up is great and it doesn't tease it thrusts you into the melodic mayhem, full-on no games.

Bombat
Has a good prominent bassline and good effects. The song is constantly building up. Layers keep getting added on, melodies moving you towards something, good strings too. The melodic mayhem is definetly intense, GREAT LIVE. After the first choas is gone your thrown back into effects, beats and bass...and then it builds up again to finish whats left of your soul. You barely make it out alive...

MY EARLY VERDICT
If you like Infected Mushroom, then simply put you will like this CD. I can almost guarentee that. It has the plastic, crisp, clear effects and sounds that Converting Vegetarians had, with REALLY good strong rythms, THICK basslines, and GREAT percussion. The intensity, melodic teasing and song climaxes are perfect and really make you want more. This album definetly has an ephasis on rythm, groove, and power house endings.

This is definetly a step above Converting Vegetarians...so if you didn't like that album then this news is good for you. If you liked Converting Vegetarians (like me) then you'll be even happier about this album.

FAN-ING-TASTIC.

Oh and what Flotser said, their 6th album will NOT be a psy-trance album. They are going to try making a rock album that they have been quoted saying is in "Linkin Park" style. This is something they have wanted to do since they began Infectec Mushroom, so I guess 8 years later they finally have the motivation to start it.

Oh and I do now think that the cover I posted is INDEED the real cover...sorry bout that.

i think i like Infected Mushroom better when they don't try to sing in there songs. like i started to listen to CV CD2 but when the vocales came in it was like are they trying to get no MTV or somthing. i just bought Cities of the Future and its the same thing but i haft to say that i liked 'Cream' but its no 'Symphonatic'. i guss what im trying to say is i like infected mushroom JUST DON'T TRY TO SING let the music speak insted

my 2 cense:D
beats and beeps
A fairly good album, pleasing to say the least. If youve liked thier past stuff you will be very happy with this.

I heard this album is released the 15th. In fact, I know it is, since I pre-ordered it at a local shop.

Oh joy.
