Tiesto was da BOMB! Dropping all the massive tracks from Magik 5 - 7 and so many more! He started with magik 7 and worked backwards. Out of nowhere, he dropped Silence ... wall to wall, front to back everyone had their hands in the air. I've never seen any DJ that got a crowd recation like that. Finaly, he's encore was a "Yehal" track which I can't remember and I know Cloudwalker was in there too. I wish I can trace a track ID for that set. That's the main reason why I joined TA ... look at my reg. date!:)
PvD was the ! Dude was pretty pissed and he layed down the most aggressive set I've ever heard! His encore was For An Angel.
Both dropped the best sets I've ever heard in my life, can't even compair ... oh the memories of back in the days. |
I remember that night so clearly... it was the BEST set ive heard from Tiesto.... but i still think the vibe of the Docks was like nothing ive ever been
I guess both parties were amazing in their own right... and im so happy i was there to experience both of them
The video of him mixing Hear you now into Glad I ate her speaks for itself.... that is by far the best transition from a break beat type vocal track into head on trance ive ever hear...actuallly.. its the best transition period of eny set i have ever heard
Pvd on that wednesday was just as amazing... he was in crazy... I was on the stage and saw the whole thing 3 feet away from the man himself |

ah, and when he dropped the prophet, hide u vs flight 643, RAPTURE, eugina, flesh, obsession...those are my all time favorite trance tunes from back in the day...best set he's ever delivered as far as I'm concerned. |
I got chills hearing Jose Amnesia - The Eternal (pulser remix) for the first time EVER....
I couldnt beleive my ears... i wasnt even moving. i just stood there in awe when it came on

It makes sense, Tiesto is who got a lot of people into trance in the past few years, prior to him when people joined in 1999 and 2000 we almost all partiality towards Oakenfold who had gotten a lot of others into trance. |

it's interesting in a sense because u can sometimes tell when someone got into the scene based on which DJ they have a favour for ..

actually, Mark oliver's trance sets at Meow on Fridays is what got me hooked....I started searching "trance" on the infamous napster and Tiesto, paul van dyk and Oakie came up!
Downloaded Tiesto at energy and was blown away...
The rest is history |

You are forgetting your history my friend - it's closing times at Chapters that got you hooked on Trance, hahahhaha.. For those who don't know, long long time ago me and Kaveh used to work at Chapters together. After closing, I used to put on Trance, while we cleaned the store. Kaveh HATED IT ! He begged me to put on hip-hop !! And look at him now :eyespop: hahahahhahahahha |
