exactly! it's not Balance 005 or airdrawndagger or OTAB but I think it's way better than the other stuff he has released and I enjoy it. |

He grabs the turntables like they're about the take off for flight and rocks back and forth for an hour. Perhaps he was trying to steady himself so he wouldn't fall down??? I swear the guy was all banged up when I saw him last.
I mean this is the guy that really started it all for me. His Goa mixes back from 1997. His GU New York which is my favorite one of them all. His wicked Essential Mixes. I saw him at Home in London back in 1999 and he was ripping it up!! One of my favorite memories...
Unfortunately, I feel he has really taken the title as the world's richest DJ to heart. I guess he has done just about everything in EDM and the energy is simply not there. He's basically going on name alone many times...
Although, I'm interested to hear this mix to see if he has reclaimed any of his past glory. I'm still willing to give him a chance... |
you pretty much summed it up bro. the guy really isnt into dj'ing anymore. to me he has just totally lost touch with the fans and has a wicked big god complex. the last few times ive seen him live mixing was horrible and beatmatching consistently off. not too mention he plays way too many breaks now for my taste. a friend of mine out in tampa went to see him there awhile back and he walked out in the middle of the set because in he said in his words "im not feeling it man". how lame is that? i will always love his essential mixes, they got me into trance, but today the man has sold out to put it bluntly. although this new cd does look promising... |
