information on Windsor, ON?

i'm hoping some of you DTA's might be able to help me out here...
what are some cool bars/clubs i could check out in Windsor?
and any recommendations on hotels in or near downtown for decent prices?
i'll be up there this saturday night and just wanted some info before i go. :)
...or would i have better luck asking in the Canada forums?
edit // i'm not looking for EDM-specific stuff, since i'll be with my bf and his buddies and they don't care much for it. just looking for some good places to party, drink, and have fun. |

try Club Meow and ask for Long The Manager and tell him that WU from DetroitClubScene.com sent you. He'll take care of you and your friends. Honestly there are a lot of pubs and bars right in downtown Windsor. You shouldn't have any trouble find a good spot to chill and relax. As for hotels try hotwire.com. |

| Have your ID's ready when crossing over or else they're more prone to search your car. There's a place, I think called Dante's, that has $2 (Canadian) well drinks on weekends & there's people on the street that give out wristbands for no cover. Beware of guys with their collars up thinking they're cool at the clubs. There's a Quality Inn not too far from downtown that shouldn't be too much, otherwise the casino may have some deals and is real close to the bars. Windsor is always a great time. |

Patrick O'Ryans is a great place to go. Good old fashioned Irish music, decent drinks. That's where I would go when I would just want to chill with some friends, get all trashed and sing Irish folk songs (that I didn't know the words to).
The Day's Inn on Oulette (sp?) is cheap and within walking distance of all of the major places.

thats ur best bet if u dont need a sick room.... but its on GOYEAU (@ the tunnel)
i'm from windsor (puke) and meow is prolly what u want....
but there are a zillion pubs/patios to chill onbasically, walk down OUELLETE ave, all bars are on that main street - 2 mins from the tunnel crossing....

joker usualy a good bar
voodoo... bump and grind fest mostly for the younger illigal age...
rush is pretty good...
and beach..
hotel wise noidea... check the windsor website... |

Theres a bar called Blast too...its closer to the river, really big bar! plays all different kinds of music, and a bar called Wired..its 3 levels and has different music on each level! Any bar is really good on a sat. night on the main strip! and club meow too!

| ok so i never made it over to Windsor... was drunk in Ann Arbor all weekend. :thepirate pretty cool city though. went to the Blind Pig on saturday night to check out my friends' band, then we went bar-hopping downtown on sunday afternoon, so i never made it back for work on monday (oops). i still gotta make it over to Canada one of these times though. |
