You have to keep in mind that being such an old building, it's not easily to physically alter much of the layout. Rather, a number of cosmetic changes have occured, including the addition of a large staircase in the lounge.
The dancefloor has been changed such that the bar originally under the high ceiling has been swapped to the other side of the room in the lower area, opening up the large vertical space for the dancefloor and lighting.
The DJ booth itself has also moved from its location when it was Lotus. It is now located in front of the twisting staircase at the back of the dancefloor. (You can just see the edge of it on the far right of picture #128_2803.) The rear of the booth is glassed off so that you can see in it as you go up/down these stairs. It is now right on the dancefloor, in a much more interactive location, as opposed to the old location, tucked away under a lower ceiling in the rear-middle of picture #127_2800. |

Tell me they've figured out the air-conditioning for this place...
Of course my only reference was the one night I went for Digweed, the A/C was dead and the place was a human suana....ewww :p
I'm not saying that'll be the case now but... :nervous: |

Hehe.. no worries there! Some new big honkin' A/C units have been installed on the roof, and new ductwork has been put in on the 3rd floor. In fact, in some areas of the club, I now find it down right chilly! (Of course, this is when it isn't open and you don't have 100s of people dancing their asses off). |

| The club has already been open for its gay Saturday nights for 2 weeks now. The straight-oriented Friday nights (house music with Manzone & Strong) will launch this Friday, the 20th. |

| Will there be any trance-related events there or just house? There's already enough places that play house... IMO people here at least seem a lot more concerned with the music than the looks and the lights (although one screw up in the design of the club can definitely over ur evening) |

I remember having ice fights and a whole bunch of girls joined in. The lack of A/C actually made the night more fun! Kind of like the blackout, when you have wierd things happen you let you guard down and enjoy it even moreso. |

They definatly don't have to pay much for new signage. Just take out the O....shift the U&S before the T and VIOLA!!!!!!
Hope the same is not true inside....just moving around with little change ;)
Glad to see they are confirming much improved A/C renovations. Good luck to the people running it and we'll have to check it out soon.
