Need help with an article - EDM

Hi Peeps
I am writing a new article on EDM. Obviously I would like to include as much detail as possible and for that I need some help.
What do you think were the turning points in EDM and how did they help develop EDM into what it is today ? Turning points can include Tracks, Producers, Equipment even drug influence. Any help would be appriciated.

| You're asking an impossible task. It takes years to learn about this history of EDM, and could fill volumes. |
