Alright, I'm pretty hung over ATM so I'll post the rundown.
I've got about $500 right now that's burning a hole in my pocket. Future income is sketchy as my summer job as a lifeguard is running short. I'm trying to decide if I want to...
a) Save up for a CDJ-1000 mk2
b) Buy a midi contoller and m-audio audiophile.
c) Buy lots of records.
I can't really make up my mind here. For one thing, I love Zabiela and what he does with the CDJ-1000 inspires me a lot. I also want to start spinning tracks and samples I make myself. On the other hand, I really want to start producing crazy , but I really need a midi controller to make those crazy melodies and clean sounding bass lines. Not to mention, putting notes into a sequencer one at a time is a real bitch. But if I make a cool track I'm just going to want to spin the CD-R of it in my sets.
And of course, I haven't bought records in 2 months while trying to save up for something, and it's making me go into withdrawl :D . I'm supposed to play a big college party some time in the near future too.
What to do, what to do.... |

A or C
B wil only lead to a LOT more money wanting/needing to be spent :P
id go A cause i think u should play some cds at the college party :) and you can just burn some stuff from ur computer onto cd and mix it in (not entirely legal but still)
also, from then on everytime u want a song, instead of buying it on vinyl, first DL it and burn it onto cd and mix it into ur mixes for a while and then decide if u like it still :) then go buy it on vinyl! |

| Why dont you get a CDJ-800... its half the price of the 1000 and does virtually the same thing. Theres a few upgrades, but nothing so big that will change the whole complexion of the song or mix. |
