| I am probably going to Connecticut this weekend to visit some inlaws I have never met. The situation may turn out a bit uncomfortable due to reasons that I dont care to explain at this time but I just wanted to know if there is anything is the area of New Brighton (I think thats how you spell it) to do just in case I dont feel like staying. This way I can leave for a bit and then come back to pick up my BF and my son. I have never been to CT so I am clueless. |

I've been going there quite a few times this summer, what i find the most beneficial for me is the peace and quiteness. its extremely rural compared to the urban city life. im not 100% sure where new brighton is however i have visited only a few areas.
Hartford (city) - zzz boring, not my recommendation for fun and excitement
East Hampton - pretty "townish"
Avon - See Above
your best bet for fun and activity would be to visit Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods casino. Thats the only fun and exciting thing i've done there...then again fun and exciting is subjective so its all based on your opinion. me, i'm a gambler... |

| im from CT, but i dont know that area. hartford is a crappy city but you can still find a decent bar/loung/club to go to. try bar with no name, bouron st.,Blu,vado,room 960. New haven is a much better city. dont know too much about it but i went there few times and had lots of fun just bar hop'n. and kid nyce is right... if you're gonna go to CT, you must stop by mohegan. great casino, has lots of restaurants and has a jam packed club/lounge every weekend. |

| Its going to be during the day so going to a club probably isnt going to happen. Any malls or shopping centers? |

mm..malls..i kno there is one in Danbury ..Farmington..Orange..(i used to live in CT ;) ) i dunno if it's around the town u are going to though.. |

yup...gotta enjoy the finer things in life *raises martini glass and toasts*
oh and back to subject... there are crystal mall in danbury, westfarms mall in west hartford, and buckland mall in manchester. or you can go to the the clinton outdoor outlet mall... its pretty nice place to just walk around and shop. |
