Ok let me explain.
Latino- is of latin american decent (technically)....they are the people who have spanish decent but are from the Americas (north, central, and south America)
Hispanic derives from spain...the spanish decent not necessarily mixed with the indigenious tribes in Latin America, nor raised in Latin America....just a general term for people of spanish speaking.
Then there is the general term of latin decent which is your hispanic/italian/french/romanian/portuguese idea. This is all right.... all of these people derive from latin based origins and share common roots in language.
