I once had such a ty computer and harddrive, that defraging took more than 24 hours. :\ |

i just did mine recently
took over 7 days :p
tho it was one of the ones that runs in the background while u do other things |

if you do it more frequently it doesn't take anywhere near as long :p
i defrag the computer at work (i shoud do it at home too but i'm lazy) every month, and it never takes more than 20 minutes or so... |

You have too little free disk space and this is the reason why the defrag failed. So burn some of your mp3 to CD's and run it again. :toothless :toothless
And defrag at least once every two months so it won't take forever to finish. |

Its probably because the windows defreag does not sort all of your files. It just takes files that are fragmented (multiple places on disk) and joins them together. |
