| Hi, I was going to be relocated to Melbourne from the US and was wondering if it was common for people to have fast access internet (DLS/Cable) in their homes/apartments? or do most people go to an internet cafe? |

Hey Gongo, have a look here -

Just stay away from Telstra bigpond for dsl :whip: |

Gongo I'm on 512 unlimited (no bandwidth caps, time caps, speed limiting etc) for around $80 AUD a month. Not too shabby.
There's a few good isps offering cable/adsl.
Take a look at TPG & IINET. Just google for australian sites. |
