A Bass Problem

I'm doing an offbeat bassline in one of my tracks (with different chords at times) and for some reason at some notes (at various times) I get a loud nack. Like a big bass boost. When it plays with the mix it messes it up.
Even when the bass is playing solo you can hear the boost. It only happends between some times. Like say it plays fine once, then the second play I get the boost.
Ex. = + + BOOM + then back to + + + +.
Why does this happen? (I'm using Triangle II for bass by the way)
If anyone can help or has any advice please add.
Thanks guys. |

check you havent accidently added a note over the top of another, this makes it twice as loud in volume. |

Maybe a LFO on your synth? |

Check your release also. That may sometimes drag the bass out to much and then when the next note hit, it gets loud..
Watch the on beat bass too, Blow ur ing speakers |

make sure you didnt accidently rise the velocity in the piano roll of that note i think its velocity might be wrong but yeah |

If you don't have the oscillator's synced, the basses will overlap and then cancel and it will be very loud for a little and then not loud at all, then loud again.. |
