^^^^ D-Monic is spinning in Sept when the GodFather of breaks Adam Freeland returns to Toronto. Finally, breaks is comming to the forefront of the Toronto club scene, so all the breaks junkies should support this event, and show the city how we break it down.

Breakz -- iz da future ! :)

oh shut it

The godfather of UK breaks is Pilgrem not Freeland

and I'll be there.

i think d-monic will be spinning on 27, i think i read it somewhere, or somebody told me OR i'm just trippin out, but i think he'll be there :)

now, that would be super nice, but somehow i dont think so, we get 4-5 breaks dj's headliners anually and that's it.

the scene will always be in the "back rooms" or "small rooms", and personally i dont mind it, more room for me and all them sick kick-it-then-slide-on-head-and-then-kick-it-some-more-and-finally-BREAK-IT-DOWN breaks enthusiasts.

man, im really hyped about this party.

nice to see that im not the only one on this board.

Ok, you're right -- Pilgrem is the godfather...Freeland's just dubbed 'king' of nu-breaks. Bite me if you disagree ... i'll be there as well ;)

By the future, i meant in terms of how breaks has evolved in the past few years. More producers are using breaks elements in tracks, and the nature of breakbeat itself is changing. With nu skool and funky breaks it's not only about the robotic breakbeat sounds that were around a few years ago.

I really hope breaks doesn't become mainstream either. Look what's happened to trance ! :haha:

Bring on the tough breaks...then bring the Hybrid boyz back to Toronto. Come to think of it, get Steve Gerrard, James Zabiela and Grayarea to do a gig as well.
