I need a hand with this one...
I'm trying to figure out or rather find (I'm lazy) the lyrics to
Trafik - Your Light (Luke Chable Vocal Mix)
This song is in-f*****-credible, this is a masterpiece of 2003. The breakbeat version captures so much power and emotion, something the 4/4 version seemed to lose for some reason.
Anyways, help with the lyrics is much appreciated dudes!
Here's my horrible take on them...
These open words are twisted songs ****** in?
Riding in my soul
I let my mind run free, my head to feel
It's how I find that all
this feeling you give me
my head knows how to be free
Your light... your light... your light...
******* this time used to rule my all
Until I found this call
My nighttime breathes this darkness, wakes my soul
It's time to just let go
It's like I see these dark clouds drifting way up into the light
and then I see the nighttime here to stay I recognize my sign...
This feeling you give me, my head longs to be free... |

There's only words, and twisted songs my dear,
Inviting in my soul.
I let my mind run free, my head to feel,
It's how I find it all.
This feeling
You give me
My head knows
How to be free
Your light
Your light
Your light
You ?sold out words? that used to rule my ?world?
Until I found this ???
My nighttime breeze, this darkness ?weighs? my soul
It's time to just let go
It's like I see a dark cloud
Drift away, I move into the light
And then I see the nighttime here to stay?
I recognize my, side
This feeling you give me,
My head knows to be free |

What do you mean nothing new? The melody with the marimbas and the effects applied on it are amazing!
EDIT: I just listened to it again. I must have heard it 50 times and it still moves me. :eyes: |

| Easily one of the best prog house tracks of 2003. |

| There's something special about warm, brooding, rubbery basslines and the counterpoint of heavily reverbed, echoey chime/xylophone/marimbas/etc. on top of them providing a sort of frequentic counterpart. In the middle, crisp drums roll on. This contrast has worked well in a number of so-called "prog" tracks to great success and I enjoy it well. |
