Well, I am taking my girlfriend to South Africa in First on British Airways soon. Its a 11hr overnight flight both ways and while I can't find any pictures of the First bathroom on BA here are a few of the actual cabin.....
BA First is one of the biggest beds in First and having done it a few times there is little chance of fitting two people in the seat, although it is 6ft 6'' when stretched out it is only a couple of feet wide. Also the nose of the 747 is very quiet compared to rest of the main cabin. The toilets are more spacious than coach and getting two in is definitely feasible.....I'll let you know how I get on ;)
The best suite for getting in the mile high club has to be the new First Class on Emirates. Looks sensational, alas only on Dubai-Sydney routes at the moment.... |

I hadn't planned it like that, had been thinking of going to South Africa for a while and it turns out both flights are overnight :)
Actually it is the first time I'd have flown with my girlfriend as we are usually flying to see one another. Lots of champagne in the lounge and on the plane before hand for dutch courage if at all necessary. You need to pass through the galley to get to the First Class bathroom :p:p
PS. If you have the gall to try it in the seat (and the best of British to you!) don't try this on domestic flights within the US as First Class isn't much more than coach in terms of seating! You need to fly internationally; think Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, British Airways, Qantas, Emirates and expect to pay around $10,000-$12,000 a seat. |
