FTP server problem

I'm trying to set up my FTP, but for some reason ppl can't connect.
The error that comes up is: Could not connect to IP, make sure you have permissions...
I'm using Bulletproof FTP and have IPforwarding enabled for the application. Doesn't matter to which port I set the FTP to, no one can connect.
Even if I turn off ZoneAlarm nothing happens.
What else can I change, I even tried reinstalling Bulletproof and messed around with the settings.
It used to work before I left for vacation...
Thanks! |

| COMPLETELY uninstall ZA and never use it again. i had it on my pc once and it blocked ports 21 and 80. i uninst. it and removed every single reg key associated w/ ZA, which opened 21 and 80. imo, ZA is a baaaad proggie |

| Yeah, thx, I noticed that. I started using static IPs and the FTP worked but then when I restarted my PC my internet connection wouldn't work, shut down ZA and voila, everything's working fine :) |

I would set FTP up properly using IIS if you are running a microsoft based OS computer. |

| I'm running ZA, with bulletproof, with a linksys Router and never had anyproblems. I used different version of all including the routers. |

I had a problem getting my ftp running when I installed my router
if you have router, you must go to your router admin page and enable ports 20 and 21. also, make sure you're connecting to the actual IP address your ISP gives you and not the internal router IP
hope that helps |
