I'm sure this question has been asked a million times before, but I thought it would be fun to ask again :)
Do you remember the first trance song which turned you on to the genre? Do you remember where you were when you heard it?
For me, it was Taste Experience -- Highlander off of Oakie's Miami EM.
A friend of mine had a tape of the webcast and one day I picked it up and started listening. The opening was so cool (minus Pete Tong's usual smarmy voiceover) and I remember this awesome feeling of anticipation during the intro. And then after the intro when the beat drops about a minute in I remember being blown away and thinking "This is amazing."
It was wierd, sitting there on his bed listening. I had never gotten such a rush from music before. And that was it really...I've been a trance nerd ever since. Luckily I still get that rush when I hear a good tune, but I'll never forget the first time.
