3/4 c Water
1 c Cider vinegar
1 c Firmly packed brown sugar
1 c White sugar
1/2 c Lemon juice
1/4 c Chopped ginger
1 sm Onion sliced
1 (or more) serrano, seeded
-and chopped
2 sm Garlic cloves sliced
4 ts Salt
1 tb Mustard seed toasted
1 Cinnamon stick |

wait...all of THAT goes into duck sauce?? apricots, cider vinegar, lemon juice, plums, serrano, garlic cloves, salt, mustard seed, and cinnamon?? it seems like way too much for an incredibly simply condiment such as duck sauce... |

| duck sauce is kinda like sweet/sour sauce, so i guess that explains the mixture of fruit and sugar. yeah u ever read what goes into those take-out sauces? omg it's sick |

| The only thing I order from chinese food places now is Steamed Chicken w/ Broccolli + Garlic Sauce on the side. I dont use/eat any of that packaged garbage. |

Its as close to the real stuff as you will get. All those other plates and stuff is all food that evolved in America.
Plus I eat that because its the healthiest stuff you can get in the Chinese places. |
