| I've recently been watching The Daily Show w/ Jon Stewart on Comedy Central. It's got some really excellent political humor and I thought it would be appropriate to discuss here. Anyone else here who watches it? |

yeah, i watch it.
great writers.
Rob Cordry and Stephen Colbert are too damn funny. the other corospondents are pretty hilarious also.
Stewart is the funniest interviewer of our generation IMO.
it frustrates me sometimes. i don't care what anybody says, it is a mouthpiece of the left.
they hide behind the "fake news show" premise |

I don't watch it as much anymore, since I think it's lost some of the political balance that it once had.
I still remember the show they did for the California recall election. It was well done and absolutely hilarious. "Latino voters in California come in three political preferences: mild, medium, and hot, with a couple of pockets of extremists known as muy calientes!" |

| i found it a bit dry. i don't think Americans do satire the best, watch some of the Brittish satire shows for ++ laughs :) |

| Yeah, John Stewart tends to lean more to the left, but the show is hilarious. He makes fun of Kerry plenty though. Definitely some great writers. Did anyone see Howard Dean interviewing John Stewart? |

That was pretty good. Then at the end of the show when they were having him read off his inner monologue and he didn't know what was going on.
And I liked their promos bragging about how they had interviewed every democratic presidential nominee EXCEPT the one who actually became the democratic candidate. |

| Perhaps there's a good reason why the Daily Show is moving a little more towards the Left - there's just far too many comical ironies and contradictions coming from the Right at present.:D |

| That explains why Dennis Miller isn't funny anymore. |

Christ, was Miller ever funny? That guy always annoyed the hell out of me, even when he wasn't talking politics. |
