| Never liked it. I was not involved in EDM when it was being overplayed, so i cant blame it on that. I simply hate the vocals, i dislike the sound of the vocalist, and i think the lyrics are very cheesy. Writing an EDM song about rolling is pretty low, although i know some people dont interpret the lyrics like that, i personally think they are about being on ecstasy. I dont think you can get much cheesier than that. |

Thanks for altering my quote...
ATRC was never expected to become as huge as it did... Its one of the bunch that makes it into the usually NON-trance community and made it big, which is why it got played so much, to the MASS public. But that doesn't mean it was created to get whore'd to the public..
Some like it, some don't. But it's not cheese. |

The EDM culture is surrounded by drugs and drug use. So it must be a pretty cheesy culture... |

im not sure what your drug use has to do with it, but all im saying is that people associate EDM with drug use, so making an EDM song about it is pretty low imo... |

so Jimmy Hendrix, The Doors, Pink Floyd, etc were low because they wrote songs that involved drug use as well?
I would assume most artists are on some kind of drug when it comes to writing, paiting, composing. It wouldnt suprise me they would decide to write about it. There is nothing wrong with it, at least its about something a subject thats real and its out there and some people might even relate to it.
What does suprise me is your attitude towards electronica and drugs..theyre practically complementary.
So why don't you tell us what you like your vocals to be about, rainbows, stars and unicorns perhaps? |

I personally prefer no vocals, and i dont think you understand what im trying to say. Its like a country singer in some crappy bar singing about getting drunk...its like, "hey lets make a popular song about rolling for all of those etards, so that we can make a bunch of money!" Not very creative imo. |

it completely blew me away the very first time i heard it and when it was being played i tried to hear it again and again...of course its overplayed but imho its still a great track...
too bad it's only getting airtime now in the States, but here it's pretty lame how behind and taboo the trance scene is. |
