that was pretty impressive, those first three women are like machines

i was having flashbacks of being on lap 7 during two-a-days in football with 15lbs of equipment on in 100 degree august heat

and I feel bad for britains runner who broke down on the 22nd or so mile

I can't even comprehend how they do it. I couldn't run one mile much less 26. These people are like superheroes to me.:disbelief

i caught teh end of it, wow it was emotioinal some englander had a nervous break down a couple miles b4 the end. I was impressed with japanese woman, i didn't know anyone but ethopians and kenyians could win marathons :conf: Props to the USA for late in the race run to grab teh bronze

side note: I wanted to buy them a sandwich

Whoever organised that event are sickos. An uphill course in 33C weather is a joke. Otherwise Paula Radcliffe would of battered everybody instead of having to quit early! :whip:

Agreed. Those conditions were the same for all athletes, not just Paula Radcliffe. I do feel well sorry for her though, she is a great athlete and a really nice person and what's happened today must be absolutley devestating for her :(
