Could someone here please describe me the list of Signum Productions/Remixes of the 2003-2004 period? I've just listened the Signum Remix of Delerium's Truly and The Timelord and I think it is just fantastic.
It is just the kind of trance I'm looking foward: melodic, complex, inteligent, touching! Plz help me. |

| Signum went after Push Through and the Truly remix... now they're just knocking out cheap boring generic ASOT trancers for the large brainwashed masses. |

I haven't heard the most of the productions of this period (after those remixes) but the only thing I know is that The Timelord is one of the greatest trance productions I've heard. |

I agree with this unfortunately...
Push Through is imho by far the greatest thing they've ever done. |

In your opinion.
Thier Signal 2004 Remake of First Strike kicks ass imo. |
As a tune on its own it's pretty weak but does work quite well as a set-filler... good for changing the pace. It does need pitching up to like +5 though... far too slow!
//edit wtf jantjeuh your post disappeared? :conf: |

Well duh. Of course it was my opinion. Thanks for pointing it out to me
The remix was completely needless and doesn't beat the original anyway. The only reason I bought the vinyl was because the original came with it. |

| Still think they're the best trance producers around. Watch out for their upcoming Daybreaker Remix too, very nice. Actually, I'd say Signum are about the only producers of uplifting that I really like. |

| What really saddens me the most is that Signum used to have some sort of an edge to their works. They were different and fresh (Signum feat. Katana - Third Dimension for example) but now it's just the same stuff as everything else. Technically nothing's wrong with the tracks but the feeling just isn't there anymore. |

i hate the new first strike
Am liking The Timelord more each time i hear it.
they have this other remix with as main lead an easy supersaw pad with 4 chord a progression wich is really boring. |

Yeah I gotta agree with that. Push Through was a good track but not as good as their others. Second Wave, Third Dimension, Cura Me, these were all unique, interesting tracks, but now we've got The Timelord and that other one with the guitar synth from early this year, as you said generic ASOT trance. The Timelord is pretty much instantly forgettable, I've heard it quite a few times but if you were to ask me right now what it sounds like, I'd have no idea except that it sounds like every other mediocre uplifting trance tune.
Signal remix of First Strike isn't really generic uplifting, but it still doesn't do anything for me.
It's a shame really, because if you'd asked me about Signum a year or 2 ago then I'd have said they were one of the most consistently good trance acts around, and always sounded good and different with each track :( |
