hello, mates!:)
i think, i didn't post here any new stuffs since around june, but now it's time to share a clip from one of my newest project.
Some days of hard working on my remix of State of Matter's magic tune called Broken Promise, and here's a small clip of the possible result.
State of Matter - Broken Promise (Mycron Remix) (sample)
Anyway, i know that not much here, and it needs a huge eq work
and mastering too, but i just would like to know if you, like
my work or not,
feedbacks, suggestions always appreciated!:)
ps.: maybe you can expect a vocal mix, if i can catch my female vocalist anytime!
thanks,
Peter:) |

| This is beautiful man, I like what you did with the harmonics, sounds a little more melancholic. My only crit is that the lead sounds a little bit thin, like a little too much resonance or filtering, fill that out a bit and you got a great piece of work. |

ok synths.. maybe a little weak.. bassdrop works.. I do not like the melody very much.. percussions are ok.. when the build up is finished at 1:58.. everything kinda falls apart.. the drive is gone..
this needs more work indeed.. |

this track is pretty chilling :D
the main melody synth i think could be more fuller, maybe add a delay to it? because the way it is now its a little boring, not enough energy, too flat as well, just try some reverb and delay,
keep working at it, good stuff :D
peace out |

Hey Pete!
Those pads are really sweet. And I like the way it all kicks back in, without the main melody which only comes back at 2:27... gives it a lot of energy. Your percussion is driving and goes well with the bass!
So, do what you can with the main melody like people have suggested, and you'll have yourself one sweet remix here!
Keep up the fine work buddy. |

People have made some good suggestions so far!
1:10, that bassline that comes back in to support, is a bit weak. Could be done a bit better. Give it more low end oomph.
I think you need a better buildup at 2:05-2:10. Its good the way it is, but people are complaining about energy. What you did was subtley brought back everything, but becasue there was no real buildup at the end of the breakdown, we don't feel the energy at all once all the instruments and layers are back in for the main flow.
I know I'm such a whore about this, but you might want to try during the breakdown (1:01, have maybe one phrase with a solid staggered strong kick/bassline, this might make it easier on a buildup, because you can leave some of the other elements out while you utilize this, plus it keeps people dancing on the floor a bit or aware that you won't let them go!)
Dunno. The other guys that made suggestions before me are way better and way more knowledgeable/experienced than I.
I actually like the melody and such, its got a lot of great potential, as is, its pretty good so far. Just needs a bit more variation, the whole sample kind of sounds a bit too similar.
Cheers! |

Definedly a bit more low end needed with the bass line.
Really nice chilled down feeling you got here..
Might give more feedback after a good sleep.. :) |

track has nice pads but they drown a bit.
main lead needs panning to make it more clear, not very keen about the new riff you added on the lead(if it is new).
ya kick and bass need lots of work.
nice fx, like those. |

Nothing to add really, I agree that the pads are just great, same holds for fx. Kick and bass could be better.
The melody doesn't quite do it for me, seems a bit random.
Not a bad effort, keep up :)
ps: Don't let them steal your track names! ;) |
